Mr. Scott Harper

Mr. Scott Harper is a wine expert, Master Sommelier, and member of the Court of Master Sommeliers. He is licensed through the French Wine Society to teach French Wine and is a Certified Wine Educator, the highest level of recognition of the Society of Wine Educators. One of only 236 Master Sommeliers in the world, Mr. Harper will discuss the rigors of receiving the “master pin”.

Mr. Gregg Ferris

Mr. Gregg Ferris will present on Normandy, a region of northern France. Normandy is seen by many as D-Day landings of 1944, but for today's visitor, there is a wealth of activities and sights that are often overlooked - Mont St-Michel, the medieval city of Rouen and the striking modernism of the port city Le Havre. A review of some of these is the focus of the presentation, with, of course, a portion on the events of June 6, 1944.

Ms. Jenny Pfanenstiel

Ms. Jenny Pfanenstiel, international award-winning couture milliner and owner of Formé Millinery at Mellwood Art Center, is a featured milliner for the Kentucky Derby. She will discuss her hat making workshop at La Cascade, a 400 year old artist retreat in the medieval town of Durfort, in southern France. La Cascade sits on the banks of a mountain stream whose waterfall fills the house with its music. Jenny will even bring a jar of this special water from her amazing experience of teaching at La Cascade.
