John Bojanowski Biography
John Bojanowski left Kentucky in 1984 to become a grape farmer on the rocky limestone Mediterranean coast of Languedoc, France. An organic grape farmer with 22 acres, he and his wife Nicole have transformed some unknown or unloved grape varietals into elegant and world-renowned wines. At Clos du Gravillas, they do the farming themselves, and their crusher is several pairs of rubber boots. Their wines appear on top restaurant tables around the world, including l’Arpège in Paris (3 Michelin Stars) and Gordon Ramsey’s in London.
