Jason brings with him a deep passion for language, culture, and education. He holds dual undergraduate degrees in Music Performance (Violin) and French from Ball State University. Upon graduation, he spent two years in Nancy, France, working as a Lecteur d’anglais at the Université de Lorraine. He later earned a Master’s in French from the University of Louisville, where he served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and interned with ACM Habitat in Louisville’s Sister City of Montpellier.
Jason brings over 10 years of teaching experience and 5+ years in nonprofit leadership, most recently as the Citizenship Coordinator at Kentucky Refugee Ministries, where he helped newcomers navigate their path to U.S. citizenship. He currently teaches French at both the University of Louisville and the Alliance Française de Louisville.

I’ve also taught French for the State Department in Arlington, VA, and middle-school English in France. I joined the Alliance Française de Louisville in early 2017. I have lived in France, Mississippi, Virginia, West Virginia, and now Kentucky. I am married to a monolingual Ohioan and we currently have two cats and one dog.
