Course Description: Build on your foundational French skills and prepare confidently for the DELF A2 examination.
This course is designed for learners who have completed the A1 level or possess equivalent knowledge of French. Students will strengthen their listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities while expanding their vocabulary and command of essential grammar. Course activities focus on practical communication in everyday situations, including travel, work, education, health, and social interactions. Learners will develop the ability to understand and exchange information on familiar topics with greater independence and accuracy. Authentic texts, audio recordings, and conversational practice will help students improve comprehension and fluency.
The course provides detailed instruction on the DELF A2 exam format, scoring criteria, and effective test-taking strategies. Regular practice assessments and simulated exam tasks will help students become comfortable with the structure and timing of the examination. While the course follows DELF A2 standards and prepares students for the exam, participation in the official DELF examination is not required. Please note that Louisville is not currently a DELF testing center, and candidates who wish to earn the DELF credential must register at an authorized testing site.
By the end of the course, students will be well prepared to take the DELF A2 exam or continue advancing their French language skills for personal, academic, or professional goals.
