Effective March 16, 2026
- Adults registering for instructor-led courses (in person or online) must be members of the Alliance Française de Louisville.
- If the student chooses to enroll at the Member rate, they must already have a current membership or purchase a membership separately before the start of the session.
- The non-member rate listed for each course includes $40 for an annual AFL Student Membership, allowing a student to purchase a membership with the class.
- All memberships are good for one year from the date of purchase.
- Memberships are not refundable.
- Private lesson students and children are not subject to the mandatory membership policy, although they or their families are encouraged to join.
- Tuition must be paid in full before the course session begins.
- Each course is priced as a whole.
- No refund will be issued for missed classes, planned or unplanned, after registration is complete.
- Courses may be prorated at the program manager’s discretion prior to registration.
- The course price includes a $10 Early Bird discount during the first week of registration.
- Registrations after the Saturday before the start of the session are subject to a $25 late registration fee to cover administrative costs.
- This fee is included in the price of the course after the late period begins.
- Registration for all classes closes on Saturday at the end of the first week of the session.
- Withdrawals are subject to the following refund terms:
- Memberships and course materials are not refundable.
- Coupon discounts may be voided when a withdrawal is processed.
- A $50.00 withdrawal fee will be deducted from the amount of all refunds and tuition credits to cover administrative costs.
- Students must withdraw no later than two (2) weeks before a course session begins to receive a full refund of course fees only, after subtracting the withdrawal fee.
- Students who withdraw after this two-week period, but before the end of the second week of a 10-week course session, will receive a credit equal to 75% of tuition paid after subtracting for the withdrawal fee.
- No refunds or credit for previously paid course fees will be issued after the second week of a 10-week class.
- For other types of courses (5-week, 3-week mini-session, summer camps or workshops) the time period for partial tuition credits will be reduced as follows:
- For 3- or 5-week classes: before the end of the first week.
- For summer camps: before the second day of the camp.
- For workshops: two business days before the scheduled class.
- No refunds or credits can be granted for classes that a student misses.
- AFL reserves the right to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment.
- If a class is cancelled because of low enrollment, all registrants will receive a full refund of the course fees.
- Individual class sessions may be cancelled in the event of illness or weather at the discretion of the instructor and program manager.
- Cancelled classes will be made up during the current term, usually by adding an additional class at the end of the session or by extending the length of existing classes.
- At the instructor’s discretion, in-person classes may be made up as online classes.
