The 1st Annual AFL Concours de Musique Française 2024
The Alliance Française de Louisville Concours de Musique Française is a music contest for high school students studying French in the state of Kentucky (and Southern Indiana). Students will work as a team to produce a 2-3-minute video in French expressing music, theater, poetry, or a story. Please send submissions to afschool@bellsouth.net!
Grand Prix: $500
Deuxieme: $250
Troisieme: $100
The winning videos will be shared on the AFL website (Youtube, Instagram).
Eligibility:
High school students in the state of Kentucky (or southern Indiana in surrounding Louisville counties). Teams must be composed of at least 3 students participating in the oral presentation. The team must also have the approval of their respective French instructor.
Rules:
Videos must be presented fully in French. A minimum of three students will actively participate in the oral presentation. The video will be from 2-3 minutes of duration. NO TikTok videos!

20% Overall video and content quality
20% Professionalism (comportment, preparedness)
20% Quality of French
20% “Je ne sais quoi” factor (the «wow» factor)
