Celebrate music, connection, and French culture at Fête de la Musique—right here in Louisville! Join the Alliance Française de Louisville on Thursday, June 18th from 6–9 PM at Historic Locust Grove for a free, family-friendly evening filled with energy, creativity, and shared experience.

Enjoy a vibrant lineup of talented local musicians, including the AFL Choir, an AFL student String Quartet, the Oldham County Community Band, The Blind Saxophone Ensemble, a Cajun-style Saint Landry Parish Band, and a Brass Ensemble from the Louisville Youth Performing Arts School—with even more performances throughout the evening. In addition to live music, guests can explore local vendors, grab a drink at the bar, enjoy delicious food offerings, join in on games, and experience the fun of Louisville Silent Disco—all in celebration of Francophone music and culture.

Originally launched in France in 1982, Fête de la Musique is a nationwide celebration held each year on the summer solstice. The idea is simple: music should be everywhere and accessible to all. Musicians of all levels take to the streets, parks, and public spaces to perform free concerts, transforming cities and towns into open-air stages. Today, this beloved tradition is celebrated in over 100 countries worldwide—and we’re proud to bring that same spirit to Louisville.
