The Alliance Française de Louisville offers private instruction for individuals and groups in French. If you need flexibility to accommodate your busy schedule, or you feel that you will benefit from learning at your own pace, private lessons with one of our instructors are for you.
After discussing your personal objectives, our instructors can design a curriculum to address your specific needs.
Use this unique resource to prepare for a test, get ready for a trip, or fill in a gap in your knowledge. Some students who take private lessons simply enjoy the skill enhancement that comes from one-on-one conversation with a proficient speaker.
Private lessons may take place at the AFL classrooms, the teacher’s home, or at the student’s home or office. Mileage and parking fees will be charged for lessons which take place at a site other than AFL. Cost of textbooks and materials, if any, are additional.
Important Information:
- Lessons are purchased in denominations of 5 hours.
- Further increments are also in 5 hour denominations.
- Payment must be made before the first lesson takes place, and every 5 hours subsequently.
- Before paying online, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page or call the AFL office at (502) 420-0800 to schedule your first lesson.
- We will need the following information provided before you schedule and purchase your lessons:
- Name(s) of student(s) taking lessons:
- Contact information (email address and phone number):
- Availability (days and times):
- Level of French:
- Address where lessons will take place (if applicable):
- The 5 hours must be used in the 12 months following payment.
- Cancellation, scheduling, and rescheduling must be made 24 hours before the lesson, otherwise your scheduled class will be charged in full.
- Private classes are non refundable.
- Please note that these prices do not include course materials and unscheduled private lessons expire 1 year after the date of purchase.
