Ciné Salon | ONLINE VIA ZOOM
April 15 - June 17 • Wednesdays 6:00p - 7:00p Prof: Véronique Strange Location: via Zoom (link will be provided) Required Materials: Participants must be able to access films on their own time through streaming services. Chosen films may contain graphic imagery or language that may be disturbing to some viewers. Viewer discretion is advised. Please review selected film summaries linked below.How does it work?
- The instructor has selected a specific film for each session. Our selections are available via various streaming services, usually at no cost.
- Meetings will take place every two weeks with time allotted to view film on students own time in between.
- Each participant watches the film before the discussion at a time that fits their schedule.
- Participants must register for the event to receive the Zoom meeting link in a confirmation email.
- Register no later than Monday before a discussion to ensure receipt of the Zoom link in time for the event.
- At the time of the event, participants join the online Zoom meeting.
- A list of questions will be made available as a proposed structure for the discussion.
- Have fun discussing the films with other participants in a relaxed atmosphere! Each meeting will last about 90 min.

If you want to sign up for all five films, select that option in the purchase menu. If you only want to attend some of the discussions, each meeting is listed as a separate product in this page, with each meeting priced at $15. (No discounts available.) You may add any or all of them to your cart for purchase, although our system only allows one item to be selected at a time. To add an additional item, return to this page to select the next item. This allows each participant to purchase exactly the films that they want to attend and lets us know who plans to attend which meeting. We will also leave the Ciné Salon page open until the last week of the session, to allow additional participants to register. -

When : Monday, 10 am - 12 pm, April 13 - June 15, 2026 Prof : Linda Fenouil Location : Online via Zoom (link will be provided) Required Materials: Bien-dire articles (provided during class) Course Description: Intended for intermediate students in French language study (3-4 years), this class aims to enhance your conversation skills and fluency in French. Class discussions will be conducted in two formats: spontaneous exchanges on current topics and discussions of articles from Bien-dire magazine. When : Wednesday, 6:30 - 8:30 pm, April 15 - June 17, 2026 Prof : Joseph Mackenzie-Rollinson Location : Online via Zoom Required Materials: N/A Course Description: Aimed at upper-intermediate/advanced students in the French language (5+ years of study), this class is designed to improve and/or maintain your fluency in French, as well as branching out into learning and using colloquialisms and more advanced expressions in order to build as close to a native level of fluency as possible. Class discussions will be based on two formats: spontaneous exchanges on topics brought up by students and material assigned in advance by the instructor. Such material may include magazine articles, headline news focusing on contemporary issues, short stories, movies, poems, and songs.Contact our office (bonjour@aflouisville.org or 502-420-0800) if you prefer to pay by check or cash. Ilunga, Paris, France L’Alliance Française de Louisville a le plaisir d’accueillir l’autrice française Diana K. Ilunga pour une rencontre exceptionnelle autour de son livre « Et tu ne le sais pas ». Lors de cette conférence, elle partagera son parcours d’écriture et son expérience de l’autoédition, tout en présentant l’histoire et les thèmes de son ouvrage. La discussion sera interactive et permettra aux participants d’échanger directement avec l’autrice. La conférence se déroulera entièrement en français. Entre rigueur juridique et passion littéraire, Diana N. Katalayi Ilunga navigue avec aisance. Diplômée d'un Master en Droit des Affaires, d'un Master en Corporate Law et et d'un Master en Assurances, cette juriste de métier est aussi une autrice qui fait bouger les lignes. Convaincue que la littérature doit être le miroir de notre société, elle crée en 2021 Les Supers Ilunga pour que chaque enfant puisse s'identifier et croire en l'impossible. Elle poursuit cette quête d'inclusion avec son premier roman, « Et tu ne le sais pas », un thriller-romance où se croisent des destins venus des quatre coins du monde. À travers ses récits, elle redonne vie à des valeurs humaines profondes, portées par un fil conducteur immuable : l'amour.
