Speaker Series: The French Kitchen
Join us on Sunday, April 19 from 3:00–4:30 PM, for a special Speaker Series event with USA TODAY bestselling author Kristy Cambron, who will discuss her 2025 historical novel The French Kitchen. Set across dual timelines in World War II–era France and 1952 Paris, The French Kitchen weaves together a story of secrets, espionage, and resilience. The novel follows women whose lives intersect through wartime intelligence networks and a postwar cooking class led by the legendary Julia Child, revealing how the past continues to shape their futures. Kristy Cambron is a USA TODAY bestselling author who writes from the space where beauty, art, and history intersect. She's a Christy Award-winning author of historical fiction, including her internationally bestselling novels, The Butterfly and the Violin and The Paris Dressmaker, as well as nonfiction titles. Her work has been named to Cosmopolitan's Best Historical Fiction Novels, Publishers Weekly Religion and Spirituality TOP 10, Library Journal's Best Books, and has been featured at People Magazine, Once Upon a Book Club Box, Frolic, Book Club Girl, BookBub, and Country Woman Magazine. Her novels have been translated into eight languages. Kristy holds a degree in art history/research writing and spent fifteen years in education and leadership development for a Fortune 100 corporation where she partnered with such companies as the Disney Institute, IBM/Kenexa, and Gallup before stepping away to pursue storytelling. She also served as Vice President and literary agent for Gardner Literary Agency, where she was named ACFW Agent of the Year in 2024. Kristy enjoys yoga, walking and hiking, and is an avid traveler always on the hunt for stories from the past. She lives in Indiana with her husband and three sons, where she can probably be bribed with a peppermint mocha latte and a good read.
