September 16 - November 18, 2026 Prof: Joseph Mackenzie-Rollinson Location: Online (link will be provided) Course Description: Aimed at upper-intermediate/advanced students in the French language (5+ years of study), this class is designed to improve and/or maintain your fluency in French, as well as branching out into learning and using colloquialisms and more advanced expressions in order to build as close to a native level of fluency as possible. Class discussions will be based on two formats: spontaneous exchanges on topics brought up by students and material assigned in advance by the instructor. Such material may include magazine articles, headline news focusing on contemporary issues, short stories, movies, poems, and songs. Prerequisites: All A2 level courses or placement by instructor.

September 17 - November 19, 2026 | Thursday | 6 - 8 PM Prof: Fatima Nsais Location: Online (link will be provided) Required Materials: Schaum’s Outline of French Grammar, Seventh Edition Course Description: Geared toward learners preparing to enter courses at the B1 level, this course provides an intensive review of grammar presented in the A1 and A2 courses, including verb tenses, prepositions, word order, and pronouns. Prerequisite: All A2 level courses or placement by instructor.

This course helps you strengthen your reading, writing, listening, and speaking abilities through engaging communicative activities and practical, project-based learning, with more emphasis on communicating with native speakers in more complex situations. Prerequisite: All available A2 courses or placement by instructor.
